The naming and delivery ceremony of the first 325,000 DWT VLOC

On June 21, the first vessel in a series of 325,000 DWT Very Large Ore Carriers (VLOC) built by Jiangsu Yangzi Xinfu Shipbuilding for Bank of Communications Financial Leasing and South Korea Shipowner, Kmarin was named and delivered at Yangzi-Mitsui Shipbuilding and left the shipyard for its maiden voyage at noon on the same day.

“BOKM Shanghai” is 339.9m in length, 62m in width, and 29.5m in depth. Featured with energy-saving, green efficiency and safety, and reliability, this giant is capable of providing the latest technological solutions such as LNG Ready, one-person piloting, and hull stress monitoring, which helps to significantly reduce transportation costs.
