Eyal Ofer’s Zodiac Maritime has recently increased its car carrier orderbook at CIMC Raffles in China by an additional two units bringing it to a total of 10 firm 7，000 ceu LNG dual fuel vessels at an estimated price of around $92.5m per unit.

Brokers indicate that these were not optional vessels but instead a fresh order for early slots with delivery starting in Q4 next year. Zodiac maintains a number of optional vessels at CIMC Raffles.

Zodiac has fixed between six and eight vessels of its newbuild series to some of the largest car manufacturers in the world.
