Malaysia-based Shin Yang Shipping Corporation clinched a contract to build from Belait Shipping to build two diesel-electric platform supply vessels (PSVs).
The MYR166.3m ($52.6m) contract states that the DP2 vessels are scheduled to be delivered from Shin Yang Shipyard to the owner by the fourth quarter of 2013 and the second quarter of 2014, respectively.
“With the ongoing upgrading and advancement to the shipyards facilities and human capital, the group is pleased with this important key milestone and opportunity to construct the first DP2 PSVs by our shipyard,” Shin Yang said.
