The Global Service Center of Korea Marine Equipment (KOMEC) is holding a counseling session with Dalian division of Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) for major shipyards under China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (CSIC) and main buyers located in Shandong Province, Shanghai and etc. for three days from May 21 to 23 in Dalian, China.
The counseling session of exports to be conducted by KOMEC and KOTRA is expected to be a stepping stone for building a cooperation between shipbuilding industries in both countries and offshore plant industries.
Particularly, this session will not only offer export counsels regarding Korean-made ship equipment which boast a superior technology but also advise to Chinese shipyards about offshore plant equipment which emerges as a new growth power that it is seen to be a time for them to learn strategies for advanced offshore plant industry.
Moreover, the session is to be held in local area of China, therefore it is likely to provide counsel opportunities to many buyers and ultimately helps small and medium sized shipbuilders and offshore equipment makers practically secure a market since an independent foreign marketing is difficult for them.
Jeong Chang-Soo, president of KOMEC, has said, “We are planning to make it as an annual event and gradually expand a market scale to the whole area of China with regarding Dalian region as an advance base for entering into China’s domestic market, in connection with KORMARINE, Shiptec China and so on.”
