According to leaders of some domestic offshore players, the negative influence of global ship industry recession on offshore market has been much milder compared to traditional ship types. On the contrary, offshore player is to face a bright future against strong demand for global energy. It is known said that the offshore orderbook for DSIC, CNOOC and CIMC Raffles has been arranged till 2015.
In recent few years, offshore plants have been the featured products of Korean shipyards. The endeavors underlying the success is Korean builders’ precise market analysis, long-term technology R&D and perfect timing. Chinese shipyards still has a long way to catch up.
