China’s Guangzhou Wenchong Shipyard is said to have signed a contract to build two vessels on May 3.
The Chinese builder has confirmed an order for two self-propelled 7,000m³ mud carrying barges with domestic shipowner CHEC Dredging, which went into effect promptly.
The two newbuildings are slated for delivery in June 2014 and turned out to be seventh and eighth constructions between two parties.
On the same day, Wenchong Shipyard was placed an additional order for two 2,200 teu containerships from Greek owner CAPE, which also took effect immediately.
