Taiwan’s shipbuilder CSBC Corp has sealed a deal to build four 65,000 dwt semi-submersible heavylift cargo vessel for Singapore’s Greenland Petroleum, reports said.

Chen Lie-lin, executive vice president of CSBC, was reported saying that the newbuildings will be delivered in 2017.

Chen declined to reveal the financial details of the contract.

CSBC had earlier stated that it is eyeing to secure more orders for larger containerships and specialised vessels. The yard is also looking to construct offshore wind turbine installation vessels to support Taiwan’s offshore windfarm project.
