China-based Yangzhou Guoyu Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. obtained the newbuilding order of two 1,400teu dual-fuel boxships on Jan. 12, marking a good beginning of a brand new year, according to a domestic news report.

The Chinese shipyard started to foray into the containership construction market in the first half of last year.

The builder got its first boxship orders from Finland-based shipowner Containerships Ltd Oy for the construction of 2+2 1,400teu containerships last year, the report added.
