China's listed shipyard Yangzijiang Shipbuilding secured 2+2 2,700teu containerships from Lomar, a subsidiary of Greece-based Libra Group, according to a domestic news report.

The construction price is estimated at US$34m for each of the vessels.

Deliveries will commence from March 2017.

The newbuilds will be equipped with latest G type engines.

Lomar once contracted the Chinese shipbuilder to construct six 1,100teu boxships, two of which have been delivered this year. The remaining four units will be delivered in 2015 and 2016, the report added.
