Yangfan Group Co., Ltd., one of China's leading shipbuilders, has won a huge order from Italian multinational logistics group Grimaldi for the construction of twelve 7,800ceu pure car & truck carriers (PCTC), reported a domestic shipping news portal.

Each of the vessels is priced at approximately US$58m.

The Chinese shipyard will commence the construction of the first carrier in the series in January 2016, the report added.

Yangfan Group has been focusing on the design and construction of 6,850ceu PCTCs, 7,800ceu PCTCs, and 2600teu boxships in recent years.
