China's leading offshore engineering equipment manufacturer China Merchants Industry Holdings Co., Ltd. inked a contract with the compatriot operator Haiheng Ship Engineering for the construction of four liftboats on July 10, reported a domestic shipping news portal.

It is the third time that the two companies have cooperated with each other.

The four liftboats will be built at the company's subsidiary based in Haimen City, Jiangsu Province.

The order has displayed that the operator is upbeat on the development of the offshore engineering sector and has full confidence in becoming a first-class offshore engineering enterprise, the report added.
