CSSC Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding Co., Ltd.，a leading Chinese yard, signed contracts with CSSC Leasing and US-based Intermarine for the construction of 2+2 13,000dwt multi-purpose heavy lift ships on July 15, according to a domestic news report.

Each of the ships will measure about 150m in length and 26m in molded breadth, with a service speed of 15.3 knots.

They can be used to hold various dry bulk cargos and containers.
