China's Cosco (Dalian) has ordered a pair of new 319,000dwt VLCCs to be built at Dalian COSCO KHI Ship Engineering Co (DACKS).

The contract value was reported at US$92m per vessel, both of which are scheduled for delivery in 2018.

The order brings the company's orderbook up to 12 VLCCs, plus five 76,000dwt LR1 product tankers and three 50,000dwt chemical/product tankers.
