On the afternoon of January 10, Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. delivered H1452 “Marine Splendour” for MDM. Andreas Ploumis, the supervisor of MDM, China Shipbuilding TRADING Co., Ltd. (CSTC), Site office of ABS and newbuild representatives from Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding attended this ceremony.

It is informed that this type of vessel is the first-generation Newcastlemax bulk carrier, carrying 210,000 DWT goods. The ABS classed vessel is 299.88m in length overall, 50.00m in width and 25.20m in depth. Besides, it is sailing at a speed of 12.5 knots in various routes and it is fitted with scrubbers, meeting the latest environmental requirements, such as TIER III and HCSR.
