Hyundai Mipo Dockyard seems to add MR product carrier duo soon.
d'Amico International Shipping recently revealed that it will probably exercise further options for two at the Korean shipbuilder.
An official from d'Amico said the firm newbuilding MRs booked in 2012 are now under construction at Hyundai Mipo's Vietnamese yard, Hyundai-Vinashin Shipyard, and the owner already paid overall around $28.6m as advanced payments.
Meanwhile, in 2012, Hyundai Mipo inked an order for two 50,000-dwt Eco-design product carriers costing around $33m apiece, with delivery due in early 2014, from d'Amico. Also, it signed a newbuilding contract with d'Amico's subsidiary d'Amico Tankers to build firm two and optional two 40,000-dwt tankers, valued in $30.6m apiece, to be delivered in early 2014.
