China's Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding (SWS) is said to have inked an order for two 180,000-dwt newbuilding bulkers with Johann M. K. Blumenthal of Germany.
The capesize newbuildings, set for delivery in 2016, seem to cost approximately $47.5m apiece, sources reported.
It is unclear if options are included or not in the contract.
The Hamburg-based shipowner refused to comment on the deal.
