Bulker operator Polish Steamship (Polsteam) has recently announced its execution of options at China's listed shipyard Yangzijiang Shipbuilding, ordering a pair of 36,500dwt Lake bulkers, according to a news report.

Earlier this year, Polsteam ordered four Lake bulkers (plus two options) at the said Chinese shipyard, each of which is priced at approximately US$27m.

The four bulk carriers are scheduled for delivery in 2017, and the two options in 2018.

The bulkers will be used to replace ageing vessels in Polsteam's fleet, the news report added.
