China's ship exports hit US$14.62bn in the first half of 2015, up 12.9 percent from a year earlier, according to the country’s customs statistics.

In terms of vessel types, exports of bulk carriers and containerships occupied a majority part of the total, followed by tankers.

In terms of export markets, the Asian market topped the list with the exports of US$9.34bn, representing 63.8 percent, up 32.4 percent on an annual basis.
