China's leading state-owned enterprise Shanhaiguan Shipbuilding Industry Co., Ltd. (SHGSIC) has recently received an order of one 76,000dwt Panamax bulk carrier, plus one option from compatriot Guangdong Shipping Co., Ltd., reported a domestic shipping news portal.

The newbuilding is slated to be delivered in the first half of 2017. The transaction price has not been disclosed, but market participants expect more than US$25m per vessel.

The order is the first one the Chinese shipbuilder secured in 2015.
