China-based yard AVIC Weihai Shipyard Co., Ltd. (AVIC) kicked off the construction of three 37,650dwt bulk carriers from Sept. 2 to Sept. 8, according to a domestic shipping news portal.

Two of the three bulkers were ordered by German owner Vogemann and the remaining one by Greece-based Lamda.

Currently, AVIC has realized the strategic goal of series manufacture with the orderbook of 37,650dwt bulkers hitting 16, which has given it an upper hand in the ship type.
