Spanish owner and operator of tankers, gas carriers and bulk carriers Empresa Naviera Elcano has placed an order for two 121,000dwt bulk carriers at Sinopacific Shipbuilding of China.

The two bulkers are scheduled for delivery in 2017. The value of the contract was not disclosed.

Currently, Empresa Naviera Elcano owns and operates a fleet of five bulk carriers, seven chemical and product tankers, three LPG carriers, two LNG carriers, and one asphalt carrier.
